Let's get this party started

I've thought about this for the longest time and today I’m making it a reality.  I’m starting a blog.  I've started blogs before but I didn't have much thought put into them.  Maybe this time will be different, I hope so.
My husband and I purchased our first house this past spring and we are slowly (too slow for me) working on making it our own.  We have a long list of projects and updates that we would like to do to our house.  This blog seemed like the perfect place to document the many changes that will be taking place at our house.  Some will be big and many will be small.

But, first things first.  Introductions:

About Me: I’m Christin.  Just your average Christian Midwest girl, married to a super cute and  wonderful husband.  I sure was blessed to find a man who loves to shop almost as much as I do!  I work full time. I love working on crafts, painting, making cards, decorating and everything creative.   I love Dr Who, Fixer Upper (who doesn't!!) and Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries.  I’m a momma to 3 fur babies, Teddy, Stanley and Margot.

About the fur babies:
Stan & Margot - brother and sister.  Super cute, cuddly, playful and lazy.  Stan makes most of his noise at night, while we are trying to sleep.  Talking to anyone who will listen.  Margot is the sweet, silly one.  She loves to head-butt you and has the cutest, softest meow there is.
Teddy- rescued pup, husky/lab.  Raised as an outdoor dog on a farm and is now fully crate-trained, house-broken and spunky hole-digger.

About the House:  Just your average cape cod in a quiet and cute little neighborhood.  We purchased it post-flip.  You’d think that would be the end of the story but there is much more!  Before we got our hands on this place it’s story involved the worst house on the block, restraining orders, “adopted” homeless people and foreclosure.  We are on a mission to fix what was supposed to be fixed before we purchased it.

To say I was not prepared for what lied ahead is an understatement.  The ceilings were stained and nasty, the paint was horrible, the kitchen was ripped out and the basement looked like it belonged in a horror movie.  We walked through the house and decided on the spot that it was the house for us!

But, we love of house and it works great for us right now.

I hope you will come on this journey with me!
